50 Leaders Profile

Jennifer is not new to leadership in the Anglican Church. She is actively involved in her parish and her Diocese (Western Newfoundland). She has taken on a new role this year to challenge herself and those around her to make choices inspired by working for justice for our brothers and sisters around the world. She is one of 10 Young Adults to participate in the first year of PWRDF’s 50 Leaders Program. Her project has been to promote the use of fair trade products.

She held a Gospel Concert at St. Michael’s to educate about fair trade. She encouraged folks to see fair trade as more than simply an ethical consumer choice – that fair trade is also important to support justice in community development and environmental responsibility. She did this with great success! After the concert, vestry passed a motion to only purchase fair trade coffee in the future. Great work Jennifer!
