50 Leaders

Climate Change, HIV/AIDS, Extreme Poverty, Child Slavery

Youth are often passionate about issues like these, wanting to work to make a difference in the world. But it’s hard to make our voices heard, hard to know where to start to bring about positive change.

Do you feel called to help work to end these or other injustices? Do you have ideas that will help our Church to be a force for change in the world? If so, PWRDF’s 50 Leaders project would be a great opportunity to learn more and to get active in issues of justice in your community and around the world!

50 Leaders will help you to:

  • Develop your gifts to make a difference, to be a voice for justice, to be a leader in our church
  • Meet other young Anglicans who are passionate about justice work
  • Learn about the work of the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund in Canada and around the world
  • Learn and apply concrete skills in advocacy, fundraising, program design, and more
  • Participate in programs like Ask and Imagine, Canadian Foodgrains Bank Food Study Tours, or PWRDF delegations and partner visits

The deadline for applications for the second intake of 50 Leaders is December 16, 2011. 50 Leaders is taking place over 5 years, so there will be more opportunities to join if you are not available this year!

Important dates:

* January 4, 2012 - application's due for 2012 winter session admission
* January 27-29, 2012 - Orientation weekend for 2012 - winter session Leaders
